San Juan

San Juan is a short hop from our Mid-Valley route, and much of our work here is replacing systems that were sized by rule of thumb years ago and have been short-cycling ever since.

A short-cycling unit cools the air but never runs long enough to pull moisture out, which is why a house can read 74 on the thermostat and still feel sticky. Right-sizing fixes that, and it usually lowers the bill at the same time.

We also do a lot of duct replacement in San Juan attics. Once flex duct has spent fifteen South Texas summers up there, the inner liner tears and the insulation compresses, and you lose a large share of your capacity before it ever reaches a register.
